| About Susan
Susan Cadwell has been been in the transition/counseling business for almost 30 years. Her areas of focus have been with diverse populations: couples counseling, family therapy, addiction recovery, adolescent counseling and especially women issues. Her involvement with women issues is currently her main focus with 25 years of experience.
She received her Bachelor's Degree from Central Michigan University in Sociology, Psychology and a minor in Recreation. In addition, a Master's Degree from Eastern Michigan University in Guidance and Counseling.
Susan began as an individual counselor for numerous years.Then, she was trained as a group counselor, but loved individual work as well. For nine years,she was a supervisor of the Counseling and Employment Training Department at a major agency. She supervised, the Assessment, Counseling and Education Departments for diverse populations.
Also, she has written curriculum for secondary education, trained teachers, administrators, developed an after school program for latch key kids, and taught a course for Community Education.
Susan worked a number of years in substance abuse both in prevention and treatment for both adolescents and adults. She taught didactic groups, led workshops, and spoke to colleges and different organizations.
She is passionate about supporting and empowering women to create the life they desire. She specializes in helping women break the cycle of codependency in their relationships by identifying their challenges and providing support and powerful strategies to help them transition into independence and personal power.
